BASIC CHEMICALS

Basic Chemical Solutions is a chemical distributor that specializes in the delivery and storage of corrosive chemicals. Our unique, customized chemical storage and delivery system provides corrosive chemical users with a significantly safer and more efficient alternative to their traditional use of drums or tote bins. Our proven program utilizes customized Mini-Bulk chemical storage tanks that are as small as 200 gallons (800 liters). Our Mini-Bulk tanks are located close to our customers’ use point, thereby eliminating the need for employees to move and handle heavy drums and tote bins of hazardous materials.

Basic chemicals are considered building blocks of the entire petrochemical industry. Basic chemicals are processed further to yield fibers, surfactants, polymers, and a number of chemicals from which various by-products are formed.

In India, the market value of chemicals which are basic is US$ 20 billion. During 2004-2005, the production of basic chemicals was 7.38 million tons while in the previous year it was 7.07 million tons. This means that there has been a growth of 4.37% in the production of chemicals of basic variety.

ELECTROPLATING CHEMICALS

Electroplating baths and equipment based on the patents of the Elkingtons were scaled up to accommodate the plating of numerous large scale objects and for specific manufacturing and engineering applications.

The electroplating process consists essentially of connecting the parts to be plated to the negative terminal of a direct-current source and another piece of metal to the positive pole, and immersing both in a solution containing ions of the metal to be deposited. The part connected to the negative terminal becomes the cathode, and the other piece the anode. The anode is a piece of the same metal that is to be plated. Metal dissolves at the anode and is plated at the cathode.
